As a trainee at the BLCC, I had the opportunity to spend four months working closely with Robin and Femke. This has been an enriching experience.
During my four-month internship, I worked on various projects to explore my interests. I was given loads of responsibility and also autonomy. Robin showed understanding and always gave me a hand when I faced difficulties. In the last month of my traineeship, Femke joined our team, and I was happy to work with her as well. She always gave me advice and suggestions, allowing me to improve myself, which made it very enjoyable. I was never bored working with them. I always felt included in the Chamber.
This was my first working experience. At the end of this internship, I am glad I’ve decided to start my professional career at the BLCC. I learned a lot of practical skills such as composing emails, creating marketing materials, organizing events, writing articles, managing our website & social media, and even interviewing different expats. Furthermore, this traineeship at the BLCC was a precious opportunity to expand my social network as I can get in touch with many experienced professionals and learn from them. Despite the health regulations, we managed to organize several exciting events. We set up webinars, organized a Winter Cocktail and seminars. It was an eye-opening experience for me.
Last but not least, I would like to thank Robin and Femke for all the time and effort they have put into guiding me while working at the BLCC. I enjoyed working with them. I would also like to thank the Board of Directors for their advice and support throughout my traineeship. Time flies. I will never forget this experience & I wish BLCC all the best.
