New Prime Minister Van Rompuy's Cabinet

Herman Van Rompuy and the Presidents of the five coalition parties of the outgoing Belgian Government have struck a agreed on a new Government on 29 December.  Here is the list of the Cabinet:

•    Laurette Onkelinx (PS), Vice-Prime Minister and Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health;
•    Karel De Gucht (Open Vld), Vice-Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs;
•    Steven Vanackere (CD&V), Vice-Prime Minister and Minister for Civil Servants, Public Enterprises and Institutional Reforms;
