SINOVA’s founder Ms. Jennifer Chan has received the “Maintain Growth, Promote Development - 2009 Individuals with Outstanding Contribution to China’s Economic Development” (保增长，促发展——2009中国经济发展杰出贡献人物) distinction. This award was given out at the 2009 China Economic Development Forum (中国经济发展论坛) held in December last year. This event was jointly organised by Xinhua News Agency’s Economic Information Daily and the Ministry of Commerce’s China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE).
In January 2010, Jennifer was selected as one of “China’s 100 Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs” (中国百名杰出女企业家) and featured in a book of the same name. The book recollects Jennifer’s unique experience growing up in the Netherlands and the story behind SINOVA’s founding and development. The award was organised by the China Association of Women Entrepreneurs (CAWE).
