Over the past few months, Central People's Government and Hong Kong Special Adminstrative Region Government again conducted consultations on further liberalization of trade in services in the Mainland for Hong Kong and promotion of trade and investment facilitation. After rounds of exchanges, the two sides signed Supplement VII to CEPA on 27 May 2010 in Hong Kong.
Supplement VII to CEPA provides for 35 market liberalization and trade and investment facilitation measures in 19 sectors. Among them, 27 are liberalization measures in 14 service sectors and of which eight are measures for "early and pilot implementation".
